Travel Blog in English - Part II
Before the dinner, we followed an advice from one of my friends, she suggested to go up to the Lawrence Hall of Science in the hills behind Berkeley University. The view of San Francisco is outstanding! Thanks a lot for that tip!

The next day greeted us with beautiful weather, no clouds and a very nice temperature. No visit to San Francisco is complete without the famous Golden Gate bridge.

Autumn shows in Napa Valley, almost all vineyards are turning yellow.

The northern turning point was for us this time the Calistoga Geyser.

Our next stop was Visalia on the foot of the Sierra Nevada. From San Francisco we drove south and visited the spanish mission of San Juan Bautista, a beautiful building and a lot of history.

Whenever I am in the Sequoia National Park I feel somehow at the wrong place. Either the trees are too big or I am too small. My friend Thomas has the same problem!

This grove of Sequoias is impressive, the late-afternoon light provides a nice reddish glow to the trunks.

The next highlight was Yosemite, here a view of the valley with El Capitan and the famous Half Dome. Again, the weather was outstanding.

The next morning saw us visiting Mono Lake with the tuff structures that are unfortunately no longer covered with water. Current plans call however for a rise of the water level in the coming years. Most of the water is currently used in Southern California for various purposes.

Autumn arrived in the Owens Valley as well.

More colors in Death Valley, this place is known as Artists Palette.

Driving out of Death Valley we visited Dantes View from where the whole valley extends to the North.
